Let’s gather to generate some joy through creative rhythms and play, and nourish ourselves through shared experiences and food!  Please, bring a dish to share.  

We welcome in any types of  drums, rattles, shakers, bells and whistles! 

For the interactive play, the main instruments are our bodies and voices. Tapping, clapping, stumping, vocalizing and improvising are guaranteed to spark some inner fire and fill you with good energy for a great start of the year. 

This event is envisioned as a gathering that promotes personal and community wellbeing and bonding through playful activities and nourishing foods. Neuro-games with bilateral stimulation hidden in rhythm sequences help balance emotional and sensory perception with logical thinking; playing with the beats stimulates creativity and cognitive functions; laughter stimulates endorphins – the body’s own opioids, promoting feelings of well-being, and boosting mood; free flow drumming provides anxiety relief, promotes calm and spiritual awareness; sustaining the beat in unison promotes co-regulation and a sense of belonging.
